Geoffrey E. Schneider is Professor of ¸£Àûµ¼º½s at Bucknell University. He was the inaugural director of the Teaching and Learning Center at Bucknell, a position he held from 2006 to 2014. Professor Schneider received a BA in economics from Northwestern University and a Ph.D. in economics from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. He has co-authored two books, Introduction to Political Economy (Dollars and Sense) and ¸£Àûµ¼º½s: A Tool for Critically Understanding Society (Addison Wesley), and has authored or co-authored articles in the Journal of ¸£Àûµ¼º½ Issues, The Review of Social Economy, The Review of Radical Political ¸£Àûµ¼º½s, The Forum for Social ¸£Àûµ¼º½s, and Feminist ¸£Àûµ¼º½s. His most recent research is on the theory of comparative institutional advantage and issues of democracy and development in Africa. He is also an award-winning teacher, the author of several articles on pedagogy, and guest editor of two special issues of the Forum for Social ¸£Àûµ¼º½s on Teaching Heterodox ¸£Àûµ¼º½s.
